More infections..poor Brookie

Potassium bromide serum levels and more seizures

So Rocky Mountain Veterinary Neurologycalled and told me Brooklyn’s potassium bromide serum level was low. They increased her dose by almost double. Dr. Lane Check up went well!

Brooklyn had another seizure Monday night, it was scary and long. She saw Dr Lane today at Rocky Mountain Veteinary Neurology. He said she looks great. The reason she still has seizures, is the micro changes that occurred, in her brain when she got the ecephalitis. This is permanent. She will be on anti-convulsants, blood pressure…

Update from Dr. Lane: He says she looks great! Her neurological deficits are no more and she is on her way to a full recovery! God answered our prayers! He said her CSF came back with WBCs and viral infection. Viral encephalitis with inflammatory brain response. He said that it could be from her distemper…
